Together We Play is AaaM’s long-term participatory design initiative for Hong Kong’s public playgrounds. It brings children, families and communities into the design process, translating play cultures, local memories and everyday needs into public environments rooted in place. To date, it has engaged 2000+ children and parents, studied 194 play spaces and contributed to 15 playground designs.
Room D is AaaM’s design education initiative, connecting design with learning across schools, families and communities. Through Design × Technology and Design × Community, it turns real-world challenges into participatory learning experiences. It builds on AaaM’s practice since 2017, spanning 80+ schools, 3,000+ students and 600+ hours of education collaboration.
